Doris Kay Hime passed away the morning of Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Columbine West Healthcare in Fort Collins, CO. She was born in Fort Collins on March 17, 1938, to Charles F. and Fleeta (Vanderhoof) Weinrich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Merle Weinrich, her husband George Hime, and two sons Gary and Blair. She is survived by her brother Charles E. Weinrich of Washington IL and her nieces and nephew.
Her childhood was spent at her parent's ranch at Stove Prairie, CO where she and her brother roamed the mountains and helped with ranching and gardening duties. She attended Stove Prairie Elementary School, Arvada High School and Colorado A&M (Colorado State). Doris had an outstanding talent in Art, Clothing, and Fashion. She taught Fashion at Colorado State for a period of time. She also operated Myriad Art Prints in Fort Collins until she retired.
There will be no service. The family is most grateful for Bonnie Romero's help during Doris' last days.
