Listen to Obituary
Donald Evans Swain, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died on Saturday November 29th, at home, at 81 years old.

Born February 11th, 1944, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Herbert and Nellie Swain. After their deaths, he was raised by Howard and Hazel Kezar in Durand, Wisconsin. He attended school in Durand until joining the military at 17. He was part of the 82nd airborne division of the army, and he was so proud. Immediately following his discharge, he married his childhood sweetheart Sandy Johnson on April 5th, 1964. He worked as a brick mason for 40 years and helped build many of the buildings around Fort Collins. He was an avid archer and won many awards and recognition. He spent most of his down time in the woods either hunting, preparing to hunt, or out fishing. All of which he kept doing from childhood through his last years.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandy Swain. His children Scott Swain and Lynda Swain, granddaughter Tia Wilson and grandson-in-law Branson Wilson, great grandsons Benjamin and Carter Wilson, brother The Reverend Dr. Edward Kezar, many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was loved by many and left behind many lifelong friends.

Preceded in death by mother Hazel and Father Howard Kezar, brothers Wally, Ronnie, Bill, and Jim Swain.

His love and laughter will forever be etched on our hearts. Until we meet again, Dad, Grandpop, Papa Don.
