Donald Wayne "DJ" May, Jr., 42, of Fort Collins took his own life on July 4, 2016. Born March 17, 1974 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Donald Wayne May, Sr. and Kay Ellen Newton.
DJ graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 1993. He was born to be a roughneck and loved working on oil rigs. DJ was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a volunteer for Larimer County Dive Team and loved dancing. He studied at Lincoln Technical College in Denver, and studied Fire Science/Fire Academy at Ames Community College.
Survivors include his parents, Donald May, Sr. of Ft. Collins and Kay Newton of Sun Lakes, Arizona; a son Nathan May and daughter, Cassandra May, both of Ft. Collins.
Celebration of Life, 2:00 p.m., Sunday, VFW, 603 Lesser Dr. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 1221 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
