Donald Jones came into this world October 8, 1974 in West Covina, California, the first child of Alan and Jan Jones. On November 19, 2016, Donald suffered a massive heart attack and died at the age of 42. Donald is survived by his wife, Carol, his mother, father and his two sisters, Heather and Krystal as well as his two nephews, Ryan and Cody.
Donald's education included graduation from Fort Collins High School in 1993 and an Associate Degree in General Studies from Front Range Community College plus heavy equipment training.
Since moving to Fort Collins in 1992, Donald spent as much time as possible pursuing his favorite past times which were motorcycle riding, BMX racing, poolplaying and fishing which included both fly and spin fishing. Two of Donald's best friends were the Black Labs he had while in Colorado. Smokey, his first and Ox who is missing him at this very moment. When Donald became an uncle he shared many great times with his nephews, riding scooters, bicycles and more recently flying drones, frequently with a lab in tow.
Donald shared much of his life helping those in need . That included family, friends and others, some of whom shared his interest and others he had only just met. This quality was one which set him apart and also created many lasting friendships. Sharing your life by aiding and supporting others is a gift we should all strive to give.
Tight lines Donald, you will be missed and remembered.
