Donald Coming

Donald E. Coming, 86, of Fort Collins, died March 26, 2009. Mr. Coming was born May 23, 1922 in Ft. Collins to Alfred I. Coming and Reeta Mary Sullivan Coming. Don's family was one of the first founding families living in Ft. Collins. He also served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Donald married Mary Grace Smith on December 29, 1971 in Ft. Collins. He was a welder at Schneidermiller's for many years before working for Poudre Valley REA in auto maintenance. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 65 years. He was an avid fisherman, a wonderful husband, and a loving father. Survivors include his wife Mary Grace Coming and daughter, Reeta M. Treat both of Ft. Collins; three brothers, William Coming of Cleveland, Ohio, Earl Coming of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Glen Coming of Honduras, and three grandchildren, Alex, Ben, and Grace Treat. Preceding Donald in death are his parents, two sisters, and three brothers. A Rosary will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, on Friday, 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery with military honors by the Ft. Collins All Veterans Honor Guard. Father Roger Lascelle will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or a charity of your choice, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
