Listen to Obituary
Donald "Sandy" Andrews Bristoll Jr., 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born March 26, 1939, in Kensington, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Dr. Donald Andrews Bristoll Sr. and Charlotte Emily (Smith) Bristoll.

A veteran of the United States Army, Sandy spent his career building and running several businesses, predominantly in sporting goods and outdoor living. He brought energy and creativity to every venture and was known for his entrepreneurial drive.

Sandy was an avid tennis player, cyclist, ice hockey player and skier, a lifelong dog lover, and a devout news enthusiast, staying current with local, national and world events. He enjoyed piloting single engine planes and fishing in the waters off of Martha's Vineyard. He cherished grabbing coffee with friends and talking about history, politics, movies, and the arts and was known for his sharp, dry, mischievous sense of humor. Active in the Boy Scouts of America as a leader and volunteer Sandy encouraged and mentored troop members for many years.

Sandy was a devoted and loving father and is survived by his children, daughter Amy Clark (Brenda) of North Carolina; son Danny Bristoll of New York, two nephews, and sister Susan Bristoll Sayles of Massachusetts.

Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Pathways Hospice of Northern Colorado, Poudre Valley Hospital, and Creekside Village Rehabilitation and Nursing Home
