Dr. Don Biggs, 63, of Fort Collins passed away in his home April 26, 2008. He was born March 2, 1945, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Edna and Donald C. Biggs. Don graduated from Aurora High School in 1963, attained his BS from the University of Wyoming in 1967 and his DDS from the University of Iowa in 1971. He began his dental career as an Air Force captain in Okinawa. Following his service he completed his oral surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. In 1978, he moved to Fort Collins and began his oral and maxillofacial surgery career. Don loved the outdoors, loved to golf and was an accomplished fly fisherman. He fished because he loved to. He found solitude in the environs of the river banks where trout are found and crowds are few. He grew up skiing the Colorado slopes and later loved heli-skiing in the Canadian Rockies with his friends. In November, 2005, Don married Cynthia Johnson and his life became filled with love, joy and serene peace. They were happy every day and together built their garden of peace and hope. Don worked with Donna Holloway, Kia Smith, Linda Folkerts, Tracy Kellums and Carolyn Myers for many years and considered them his family. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; and two stepdaughters, Erin and Tara Cox; his father, Donald C. Biggs; and sister, Sherri Baron. A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Foothills Unitarian Church, 1815 Yorktown Ave. off Drake. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Friends may send condolences to the family at
