Dolores Bruns

Dolores E. Bruns, 85, of Fort Collins, formerly of Chappell, Neb., died Sept. 6, 2006, at a local nursing home. Mrs. Bruns was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Omaha, Neb., to Paul G. Gross and Elfreda Sorenson Gross. Dolores married Glen F. Bruns on Nov. 27, 1940, in Omaha, Neb. She lived the last 12 years in Fort Collins. She was a homemaker, nurse's aide and a Girl Scout leader who enjoyed playing the violin and assembling doll houses. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women Association, the local Extension Club. Dolores was also a Church and Ladies Aid Member. Mrs. Bruns is survived by her son, Bryan Bruns of Chappell, Neb.; two daughters, Connie Dahlgren and her husband, Gordon, of Elkgrove, Calif., and Glenda G. Bures and her husband, Robert "Bob," of Fort Collins; seven grandchildren, Angela, Greg, Tina, Tami, Ashley, Denise, and Sheila; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard McDermott will officiate at the service.
