Devin Matthew Benikosky Parker

Devin Matthew Benikosky Parker died at home on Wednesday, August 12, 2009. He was 12. Devin was born on January 4, 1997, in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Shelby Benikosky. Devin was a beautiful child, loved and cherished by his family and friends. Devin enjoyed creating music with his keyboard and reading books, especially the "Five Ancestors" by Jeff Stone. Devin enjoyed riding his bicycle and playing with his friends from school and in his neighborhood. Devin cherished his baby sister and spent many happy hours with her and their family. Devin enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, whether on his family's Colorado ranch, camping on Crystal Mountain or spending the day at Marble, Colorado with his mom. Devin enoyed all of the many outings and activities with his family who in turn cherished their time with Devin. Devin warmed the hearts and enriched the lives of all who knew him. Devin's wit and love brought many smiles and he leaves behind many fond memories. Devin's contribution to his family was immeasureable and they will cherish him forever. Boo will miss her Bobo. Devin is survived by his mother Shelby Coy, stepfather Dustin Coy and father Jim Parker all of Ft. Collins; sister Brenna Coy; grandparents Les and Joan Smith, Gene Benikosky and Cris Wilkinson, Lynn and Dalene Parker, Doug and Alinea Coy; great grandparents Evelyn Parker, Kathryn Williams, Juleda Ann Hamburg, John and Sonna Swanson; aunts and uncles Christa Leverenz, Shannon Benikosky, Andrea Coy, Joe and Rhonda Parker, John Parker, Scott and Margrit Parker. Devin is preceded in death by grandparents Ewing W. Hamburg, Sara Benikosky, Al Parker and Dale Williams. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Inurnment at Roselawn Cemetery 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Devin Benikosky Parker memorial fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
