Dennis Jasken

Dennis Jasken, 66, of Highlands Ranch, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, in his home. He was born December 24, 1938, in Arlington, Minn., to Eva and George Jasken. After graduating from Arlington High School in 1956, he served in the Army and was honorably discharged. Dennis graduated from Dunwoody Technical School of Minneapolis, and has worked in the masonry construction field ever since. Dennis and his wife, Judy, moved to Fort Collins in 1973 and has been part of the Colorado Mason Contractor's Association ever since. He has worked along the Front Range as well as in Hawaii. He has contributed to many of the buildings in Fort Collins including the Foothills Mall and the new Fort Collins High School. Dennis was also one of the original founders of the Sheep's Club, supporting the CSU Rams. He donated and built many barbecue grills used for tailgating at the stadium. Dennis is survived by his sons Marty Jasken of Fort Collins and Nick Jasken of Arizona; his daughter, Jennifer Thompkins and her husband Al and their children, Taylor, Jared and Megan of Illinois; his mother, Eva Jasken of Minnesota; his sisters, Nita, Bobbie, Louise and Jill; and a brother Jon along with their families, and his ex-wife Judy, of Fort Collins. Dennis was loved by all, a role model for many and will be missed dearly, for he is our father, grandfather, son and brother. A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel; viewing will start at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dennis Jasken Memorial Fund, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
