Della Ortivez, 90, of Fort Collins, died peacefully May 24, 2021. Mrs. Ortivez was born June 26, 1930 in Ingleside, Colorado to Pete and Romie Chavez. She married Louie M. Ortivez on February 27, 1954 in Fort Collins and celebrated 67 years of marriage. Mrs. Ortivez was a homemaker and member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Ancianos Unidos.
Mrs. Ortivez is survived by her husband, Louie Ortivez; two daughters, Annette Rivas of Fort Collins and Jeannette Fry (Paul) of Adams, Nebraska; grandchildren Abe Rivas, Jr. (Jaime), Andrew Rivas (Celeste), Adrian Rivas (Liz), Taylor Ortivez, all of Fort Collins and Mattee Fry of Adams, Nebraska; eight great- grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ortivez is preceded in death by her son, Larry Ortivez; her parents; brothers George, Henry, Herman, Lermen and Ernest Donald; and sisters Helen and Celia.
