Dean Farrier passed away on July 12, 2018.
He was born September 22, 1933 to Ernest and Wayve Farrier, at the family farm near Chambers, Nebraska. On May 29, 1953, he married Shirley Rieck.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughters; Jacque (Ed) Ivins of Phoenix, Arizona, Susan Gibbons of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Julie (Kevin) Rosenberg, of Irvine California; four grandchildren, Hayley Ivins, Alexandra Van Buskirk, and Joshua and Shaina Rosenberg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Nicholas Ivins, and his three brothers, Max, Richard, and John Lee.
Dean loved barbershop music and sang for many years with his quartet and a barbershop chorus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the many trips shared with his brother and nephews.
Dean always insisted that no one be sad at his passing, but to celebrate his abundant life, which was filled with family and friends, his work, and music.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Peace With Christ Lutheran Church, 1412 W. Swallow Road, Fort Collins, CO. Burial in Chambers, Nebraska to follow at a later date. Visit bohlenderfuneralchapel.com to send the family online condolences.
