David "Dave" Brundeen was born October 20, 1950, at Akron, Iowa, son of Donald and Doris (Dreeszen) Brundeen. He graduated from Westfield High School in Westfield, IA, in 1969. He was united in marriage to Monica Burns on November 6, 1971, in Sioux City, IA. They have lived in Sioux City, IA, Casper, WY, Fort Collins, CO before moving to Carr, CO in 2001. He was an avid fisherman, bowhunter, Mopar enthusiast and spending outdoor time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Monica; his two daughters, Stefanie McDaniel (Patrick) and Ronda Weinmeister (David); his mother, Doris Brundeen of Norfolk, NE; three sisters: Sharen Luhr (Richard) of Norfolk, NE; Linda Schmoll (Ron) of Sioux City, IA; and Nancy Roberts (Mark) of Scribner, NE; five grandchildren, Braiden Brundeen, Dakotah Weinmeister, Lacie Weinmeister of Casper, Wyoming, and Kailey McDaniel and Lauren McDaniel of Ft. Collins, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Brundeen and a nephew, Jim Schmoll.
He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
