Listen to Obituary
David Bethune, Jr. passed away on December 25, 2020. David was born on October 5, 1966 in North Carolina to David, Sr. and Sylvia Bethune. He was educated at Lake Forest High School in Illinois, and later earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business and International Relations from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. David was a faithful Christian who made Timberline Church his spiritual home.

David moved to Colorado in 2001 and resided in Fort Collins before settling in Windsor. He was employed as Director of Sales Operations at Tolmar. David married his best friend, Carla, and their union raised one son, Jackson. He was a kind, loyal family member and friend who spent his leisure time fly fishing on a river or nestled in the woods hunting. He also cherished spending time with his family; they could often be found cheering on their favorite sports teams. One of his favorite pastimes as a proud, devoted father was watching Jackson play basketball. "The strength of a man is in his character." David's character was above reproach. He left an indelible mark on all who encountered him, and the lasting imprint impacted their lives for the better.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory a loving wife, Carla Bethune and son Jackson Bethune of the home; parents David, Sr. and Sylvia Bethune of Scottsdale, AZ; sister Michelle Bethune (Sean Andersen) of Peoria, AZ; and a host of caring family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life to honor David's memory will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, 10:00am at Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Rd., Fort Collins CO 80525. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in David Bethune's name to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org .
