Daniel Zwetzig

Daniel Edward Zwetzig also known as DON was born in Fort Collins, CO on June 7, 1933. He lived in Fort Collins all his life. He departed this world on August 25th in Loveland at McKee Medical Center, Hospice of Larimer County Unit, passing away from a long battle with cancer. During his time he had a number of health issues, but they never dampened his spirit for life. Daniel met the love of his life - Shirley Ann Lear - and they married in May of 1953. From this union they had two children: Sharon and Gary. Dan was a hard working man - starting a trash hauling business that he had for a number of years until the late 1960GÇÖs, after that he tried a number of other endeavors - including helping his wife Shirley at the Diamond Shamrock at College and Swallow. His favorite things were eating and having a garage sale where he could wheel and deal with people on his tools. He loved tools! Dan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley; His daughter Sharon - her husband Bob and her son - Jeff and his significant other Amy. His son Gary, his significant other Trisha - his children L.G., Jake, and Shelby and his favorite GÇ£grand dogGÇ¥: Meka. The family would like to thank HOSPICE in Loveland for all the care they gave Dan during his stay with them, especially his nurses Alex and Kim. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Graveside Services for Dan will be held on Friday at 10:30am at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
