Daniel R. Michoski, 81, of Fort Collins, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Dan was born in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Anne Michoski. He began his teaching career in Chicago. He moved his family to Fort Collins in 1977 where he was a teacher and personal trainer. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing with his brothers and working out and traveling with his dear friend Barbara.
Dan is survived by his children Jamie Erps (Alan), Sarah Esparza (Conrad) and Jarrod Michoski, his brother Tom Michoski (Beverly) and his grandchildren, Sydney, Evan, Charlie, Samantha and Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anne and brothers Bob and David and his sister Barbara.
He will be remembered as a wonderful and loving father and grandfather. He taught his children by example what it means to show up for others, work hard, and lead with kindness. He was a passionate teacher and personal trainer who inspired others to grow academically, physically, and personally, through patience and encouragement.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
