Daniel Rivas Luciano was born on January 14, 1960, in Odessa, Texas, to Juana and Abelino Rivas. Throughout his life, Daniel was recognized for his unwavering commitment to both his profession and his family. He built a career as a Private Investigator, working throughout the western region of the United States. His dedication to his work was matched by his devotion to his loved ones, making him a respected figure among his peers and family members.
Daniel was a loving and devoted father to his children: Concheeta, Joseph, James, and Daniel. Although he never married, he consistently provided support and affection to his family, demonstrating his deep care and responsibility. His role as a father was central to his life, and he always prioritized the well-being of his children.
He is survived by his daughter Concheeta, his son Daniel, and his grandson Joseph (JoJo). Daniel also leaves behind a large extended family, including his siblings: Helen (Javier) Martinez, Rosemary (Steve) Pardon, Diane (Dwight) Miller, Abelino (Geri) Rivas, Abelardo Rivas, Ernie Rivas, Ramond Rivas, and Adam Rivas. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will remember him with affection. In addition, Daniel is survived by his longtime friend Sheila Sneider and other special friends, all of whom cherished their relationships with him.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Juana and Abelino Rivas; his sons Joseph and James; and his siblings Susan Aguilar, Delores Castilleja, Eva Rivas, Armando Rivas, Guillermo Rivas, and Alecia Domland. Their memories remain close to the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Rosary to be held at 1:30pm with the funeral mass to follow at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
