Daniel F. Conway, 60, of Fort Collins, passed away Friday after a brief yet lengthy illness. Dan was born June 19, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph T. and Elizabeth Lynch Conway. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Molly Male Conway, daughter Brigid of Fort Collins, son Patrick of Fort Collins, son Clay of Denver, and Granddaughter Emmy, sisters Liza Conway of Bristol, Tennessee, Helene Conway of Wilmington, North Carolina, Deirdre Aten of Manchester, New Hampshire, Neil Conway of Denver and Joe Conway of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Dan loved life, learning life and sharing life, he never dipped one toe in the water. Dan's passions included radio, his Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, Xavier basketball, the Rams, whose new stadium he's looked forward to and was proud of, music, coaching, a cold one on a hot or cold afternoon and his friends, but his life's passion was his family. Dan loved his Mother-in-Law Carol, Molly, Pat, Brigid, Clay, his Granddaughter and pride and joy, Emmy and he wasn't shy about it. It was not unusual to get an email or text with a picture, story or update at any time of day. It should be noted that Dan was generally in the picture, but never the focus of the story, that focus was for others.
Though Dan left us far too soon, with much life and love to share, he will always be remembered with a smile and a laugh, there are a lot of good Dan stories out there. There are also many who are better for having crossed paths with Dan and meeting a truly good man, son, husband, father, brother and friend. Dan, we will miss you.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
