Dan "Bubba" Billings

Dan came into this world on May 29,1940 to Ted and Mary Anna Billings. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and would often tell stories of playing football in his youth and the many small restaurants around the Chicago area, many of which he would tell of their specific specialty and knew most of the owners by name. As an adult he was a police officer on the Chicago police department before moving to Colorado where he worked in auto sales for many years. He gained many friends at all of the different car dealerships that he worked for in the northern Colorado area. He had a life long love of fishing and would tell stories of many fishing trips in the Chicago area and Canada in his younger years and in Colorado and Wyoming in the later years. After retirement he spent his time working in his garden where he grew tomatoes and peppers when he wasn't sitting at the lake with a fishing pole in his hands. Dan passed away on October 25, 2020 after a battle with pneumonia and the effects of age. He gathered many friends in his 80 years who he considered family and talked about them often. Dan will be missed by everyone he knew.
