Dale Franklin Peterson, 95, of Fort Collins died peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 4, 2015. He was born in McCook Nebraska February 13, 1919 and graduated from Fort Collins High School and Colorado State University.

Dale and Helen were married February 22, 1948. Shortly after marriage, they began farming in Ault then moved to east Fort Collins in 1952, had three sons and continued farming and ranching, raising beef cattle.

Dale loved his family, especially his great grandchildren. He relished his time with the entire family.
Dale was a World War II veteran and loved to relay his experiences with everybody. He was a battery commander in the Army artillery and his Sergeant told him his men would "follow him to hell and back".

Preceding him in death are his wife of 65 years Helen, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and a grandson.
Dale is survived by three sons, Larry (Anne), Dan (Robin) and Lynn (Jackie), along with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors by the Ft. Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, 402 Graefe, Ault, CO.
