Cory A. Richards completed his journey in this life March 8, 2006, at age 28. Cory was born April 14, 1977, in North Platte, Neb. He was the most amazing person. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. With the kindest and biggest heart of anyone, he loved life and he loved people. He would always greet everyone with a big hug. Cory loved his sports. He played Special Olympics basketball and softball. He just received a blue ribbon 1st place for basketball. He was so proud. He loved to watch football on TV, especially the Broncos and the Rams. He enjoyed playing golf with his brother and his dad. He just enjoyed life to its fullest. He loved playing with his dogs, Sam, Max, Rufus and Scooter. They were a great joy to him. He enjoyed working at Wendy's. He liked meeting the people and he enjoyed his coworkers. Music was the high point in his life. He didn't care if it was country or rock 'n' roll, he was always playing music. Cory loved working in the yard. We always had the greenest grass as he was always making sure the water was going. He loved to water Mom's flowers and take care of them. His biggest joy in the summer was going to the lake in the boat and riding on the tube and cooking hotdogs. He was the most amazing cook on the grill. He is survived by his parents, Arron and Shirley Richards; brother, Travis; grandparents, Arthur and Pat Richards of Amarillo, Texas, Alice Richards of Denver; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Ruth Bartholomew; great grandparents, Charles and Jean Kirkpatrick and Flora Zett Kirkpatrick. He touched so many lives he will be greatly missed. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Those who desire may view Cory on Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
