Corine Adonelia Moore (Leyba) was born at home in 1930 in Pena Blanca, NM to Marianita Silva and Rafael Leyba. One of eight children, she is survived by one sister Sarah Sanchez.
Corine graduated from Bernallio High School in 1948. She began working for the NM Dept of Labor until she retired in 1995. She met and married Lester Moore in 1955. She raised 7 children and is preceded in death by her son Donald Moore. Surviving children are Marian Romero (Dennis), Jerry Moore, Larry Moore (Sherri), Robert Moore, Carolyn Speshock (Tom), and Gregory Moore (Sunni). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 13 Great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
After retirement, Corine moved to Portales, NM and later relocated to Fort Collins, CO. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she actively participated in the St. John the 23rd Catholic community. Corine was a regular attendee at Mass, finding solace and strength in the presence of God. She participated in the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites and Legion of Mary. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed working on embroidery and puzzles in her free time. Her unwavering commitment to her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Corine leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and kindness that will continue to guide and inspire. She will be deeply missed by her family who were the light of her life.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember Corine for the remarkable woman she was. Her unconditional love and nurturing spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
May she find eternal peace in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father and Blessed Mother.
There will be a funeral Mass of the Resurrection on her behalf, and internment in Albuquerque, NM.
In Fort Collins, a Rosary will be held at 11:30am with the Funeral Mass to follow at 12 pm, Saturday, July 1, 2023 at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 1220 University Ave.
