Coral Lee Foss, 65, formerly of Fort Collins presently residing in Wray, Colorado died on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Poudre Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. Coral Foss was born December 18, 1943 to Phillip Oliver Foss and Dorothy Marie Foss in Portland, Oregon. Coral graduated from Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, California. The family then moved to Fort Collins where she attended CSU, received several degrees including a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, a Master's Degree in Sociology, and a Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education. She began her career in teaching at Wray Elementary School over 30 years ago and received the Master Teacher designation for teaching the 1st grade. She retired five years ago to enjoy her beautiful home and gardens in Wray. Coral had many diverse interests including gardening, birding, photography, archeology, music, books, and NASCAR. Coral was very curious about many subjects and continued to learn and take courses throughout her life. Her greatest loves were her two Schnauzers Tovee and Lily. Coral is preceded in death by her father Phillip Foss and her mother Dorothy Foss. She is survived by her sister Phyllis Stoner and her two brothers, Tory Foss and Phillip Foss, Jr.; her nieces Kelley Rivera and Yana Whitson; her nephews Ryan Stoner and Justin Foss. In addition, Kelley's children Brianna and Kraig Rivera. She is also survived by her uncles Elton Foss and Clinton Foss and her aunts Nova Neilsen and Myrna Jungling. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery.
