Connie J. Quigley passed away at home surrounded by family on March 13, 2021 due to complications from a glioblastoma brain tumor.
She was born March 18, 1946 to Fred and Jean Quigley in North Chicago, Illinois. She, with her former husband Gary Smith, moved the family to Ft. Collins in 1971. She operated a hair salon in her home while raising her boys. Later, she worked for Ft. Collins police dispatch and then Poudre Fire Authority before retiring from Teledyne Waterpik.
Connie filled her time volunteering for Partners Mentoring Youth, Poudre School District and the Lincoln Center. She also enjoyed working for Larimer County as an election judge. She loved playing cards with friends, Bingo and water aerobics at the Senior Center.
She is survived by her sons George Smith (Rhonda) and Michael Smith of Ft. Collins, sisters Peggy Longtin and MaryAnn Smith (Ron) of Chicago, brother George Quigley (Rosetta) of Everett, WA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She could talk to anyone and was able to draw them out and make them feel important. Her great sense of humor, and beautiful smile will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be announced when we can safely gather.
