Listen to Obituary
Constance "Connie" Kay Knutson was born on August 31, 1958 in Denver, CO to Freddie and Berniece Knutson. She lived with her family on a small farm northeast of Genoa, CO and attended school at Genoa Public School through 5th grade at which time her family moved to Wray, CO in 1969.

Connie graduated from Wray High School in 1976 and then moved to Fort Collins. As her passion for working with children grew, it led her to Greeley, CO where she attended Aims Community College and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, she moved back to Fort Collins to do what she loved and worked for local daycare centers for the next several years.

In 1995, when her parents health began to fail, she took a break from her career and moved back to Greeley to live with and care for her parents. After the passing of her mother in 2008 and father in 2009, she returned to Fort Collins where she earned a degree in Accounting from Front Range Community College. While earning her degree she worked part time at the Budweiser Events Center where she met some of her closest friends.

She was then diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and continued to maintain a positive attitude, even through the many challenges she faced during her four year battle. In addition to the love and support from her family and friends her dog Gumdrop was her constant companion and best friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents Freddie & Berniece Knutson. Connie is survived by her brothers Gene Knutson & Jerry (Marie) Knutson as well as her sisters JoAnn Knutson, Kathy (Gary) Lutheran, Terri Knutson, Robbie (Bill) Ratto and Jill Knutson. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephew as well as her great nieces and great nephew.

Connie passed away on February 19, 2019 with her sister Kathy and best friend Cissy by her side.
