In loving memory
Connie Lynn Godinez was born in Fort Collins Colorado on May 23,1963 at Poudre Valley Hospital.
She is the third daughter of Jesse A. Godinez and Dorothy L. Godinez
Preceded in death Father Jesse Godinez, Grandma Augustina Godinez, niece Ariana Cordova, Grandfather Joe Flores, and great grandparents Dorothy and Silbert Apodaca,
Surviving relatives: husband Phil Campbell, Mother Dorothy Godinez, sisters: Christi Godinez (Gary Gabaldon); Mona Godinez (Tony Ortiz); Gloria Godinez; and Jessi Godinez. Five Nieces, One Nephew, three great Nieces, three great nephews (one who was recently born), and one Great Great Nephew.
She was a graduate of Fort Collins High School and Colorado State University.
She was married to her soulmate for 33 years and had been together since high school. Connie spent most of her life residing in Fort Collins.
El Burrito Restaurant, a family-owned business, has served as a prominent establishment in Fort Collins since 1960 Connie and Husband Phil took over the day-to-day business in the eighties.
Connie along with her Husband became co-owners of El Burrito Restaurant after she graduated CSU with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
September will be a celebration of 65 years in business; she and her husband Phil deserve a considerable amount of credit for making this happen. Connie tried to be here for this joyous occasion but succumbed to her cancer.
She was a lover of all living creatures, big and small. Even Spiders received a reprieve by gently placing them outside, instead of the alternative.
She loved seeing the nieces and nephews and always remembered their birthdays and generously gave them gifts at Christmas.
The family looked forward to Spending fourth of July at their house and receiving her coffee cake at Christmas time.
Those of us who knew her well could tell you her favorite band was U2. Hawaii and Las Vegas were two of the most memorable places they played. Connie enjoyed seeing them perform all over the country.
And her favorite place on earth, other than her backyard, was Jamaica. Jamaica was her home away from home.
Til the very end she was thankful for the life she lived and held concern for those of us she had left behind. Family and friends will miss her. Rest in Peace Dear Connie Lynn
A funeral mass will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 300 W. Mountain Ave.
