Clinton Hiney

Clinton Matthew Hiney was born on May 31, 1978 in Fort Collins to Doug and Linda Hiney. Tragically, his life was cut short on Jan. 12, 2009. Clinton spent most of his life in Fort Collins. He had a fantastic sense of humor. It seems that he always had a joke of some kind to tell. Wherever he was he brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was an avid sports fan and played little league baseball as a boy. His basketball skills were amazing. Even when he was very young he would hit 3-pointers with ease. We would play in our driveway for hours. Clint loved to watch football and was always willing to defend his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. On June 16, 2000 he married Ann Logan and together they had two fantastic sons, Matthew and Ryan. He cherished all three very much and was a kind, patient and loving father. Clint is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Matthew and Ryan; parents, Doug and Terri Hiney; brother, Christopher Hiney and his wife, Tera; brother, Nick Dalla; sister, Danielle Gaschler and her husband, Jason; nieces, Athena, Linda, Caelan, and Cassidy; nephews, Gage and Evan; grandparents, John Hiney and Viola Hiney; Uncle Rod and Aunt Julie Porter; Uncle Dave and Aunt Kathy Hiney; Uncle Tim and Aunt Gretchen Hennum; Uncle Jim and Aunt Judy Ganzer; cousins, Jake and Josh Johnson, Jackie and Jim Ganzer. As well as many others that he considered his family and were a very important part of his young life. Clint is now with his mother, Linda, who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Dick and Margie Porter. Clinton was a very loving person and will truly be missed. Our lives will never be the same without him. Funeral services are on Tuesday, January 20th, 1:30 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. A celebration of Clint's life will be held afterwards at the home of his parents. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Clinton Hiney Memorial fund in care of Home State Bank.
