Claudia Mercedes Yanez

Claudia Mercedes Yanez passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 peacefully in her home. She was born on August 19, 1946 in Fort Collins Colorado to Angel and Anna Garnica and was the eldest of nine children.

Claudia was goal-oriented and determined. She always found the beauty in people and all other living things and loved the mountains. She had a greater love for her family and cherished her grandchildren. Claudia was a registered nurse and her career lead her to doing home health care for premature babies. In 1970 she married her husband Emigdio Yanez and soon after had two kids, Steven Guadalupe Yanez and Gabriella Angella Yanez. Claudia is also survived by her greatest loves her grandchildren. Michael William Yanez, Marisol Isabel Yanez, Kelsey Marie Yanez and Cassandra Marie Yanez.

Viewing will be held 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. As a request from the family per Claudia's wishes, please dress nice but don't wear black. There will be a reception following in the basement of St. Joseph's Church potluck reception.
