Clara Wiedeman

Clara Wiedeman, 100, of Fort Collins, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Blue Grouse Health Care Center, where she was a resident since August. The first of 10 children, Mrs. Wiedeman was born Feb. 7, 1907, at Russell, Kan., to Sophia Margheim and Henry Wiedeman. She was very proud of the fact that she helped raise all of her siblings. She married Manuel Wiedeman in Fort Collins in 1930. They farmed and ranched in the Hawk Springs/Yoder, Wyo., area until their retirement in 1966, at which time they moved back to Fort Collins. Clara then worked at the Bobby Lynn Day Care until it closed. She loved to knit, crochet, quilt and sew. Clara was the belle of the ball at her 100th birthday celebration in February with over 160 friends and family members attending. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive her. She faithfully served her Lord daily and was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 1400 S. Taft Hill Road. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Holub will officiate at the services.
