Clara Annabell "Annie" Hall passed away peacefully in her home on December 5, 2021. She was born February 1, 1932 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Elizabeth and Harry Manke during the Great Depression, the fifth child of ten.
She grew up in Fort Collins, helping care and provide for her younger siblings. After attending business college, she began working as a secretary at CSU. She stepped away from working outside the home to raise her children, and returned to CSU where she retired in 1991.
She met her future husband, Lawrence Walter "Pete" Hall, on a blind date in 1953. They were married November 14, 1954 in Fort Collins, Colorado where they settled down to start a family. Pete and Annie had three children, Larry Hall, Cindy Miller and Steve Hall, all of Fort Collins.
For most of Annie's life she enjoyed cooking and baking. If you left her dinner table hungry, it was your own fault. She spent thousands of hours working with her hands, making needlepoint and cross stitch pictures, and knitting and crocheting many different things. Most family members possess at least one of her handmade creations. She loved her hot tea with sugar, any type of fish or seafood, and indulging her sweet tooth whenever possible. She also thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside listening to the birds and looking at her flowers. Zombie movies were her guilty pleasure. The highlight of her later years was time spent with her two granddaughters Lyndsay and Alexis, and her two great granddaughters Aubree and Everly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Hall; her brothers Raymond Manke, LeRoy Manke and Clyde Manke; and her sisters Betty Allen, Elsie Goodrich and Dorothy Manke. Survivors include her sons, Larry Hall and Steve Hall; her daughter and her husband, Cindy and Lloyd Miller; her granddaughter and her husband, Lyndsay and Derrick Martinez and their two daughters Aubree and Everly; her granddaughter, Alexis Hall; her brother Robert Manke; her sisters Mary Rossow and Shirley Wetzler, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
No service will be held, per her wishes. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
