Claire Antoinette Butler, 70, of Fort Collins, peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2011 at University Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Butler was born October 11, 1941 in Meriden, Connecticut to William Thomas and M. Lucille McNulty. Claire married James "Jim" W. Butler on November 1, 1960 in Fort Collins. Mrs. Butler lived in Fort Collins for fifty one years after moving here from Connecticut in 1960. She was of the catholic faith. She volunteered for Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins Health Care Center for several years and Al's News Stand for fourteen years. Claire's infectious laughter and contagious smile followed her wherever she went, brightening the days of everyone around her. Claire lived a life without compromise to the fullest. Survivors include her husband, Jim; sons, Jim and his wife Lisa, Daniel, and sisters, Maureen McMullen, Sr. Ellen McNulty, O.P. and Mary Lou Thuilot. Preceding Claire in death are her parents and brother, Bill McNulty A celebration of her life will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Father Rocco Porter will officiate the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
