Christopher Ryan Brown passed away at his home in Walden, Colorado, on December 7, 2025, with the love of his life, Cami Cordray, by his side.
Chris was born on October 22, 1985, in Denver, Colorado. His family moved to Walden in October of 1993. Chris attended the North Park Schools. He graduated in 2004 from North Park High School. He spent most of his life in Walden, a place he always considered his home.
Chris enlisted and served in the Army from February 14, 2007, through June 10, 2010. He served in Iraq and received the Army Achievement Medal for exceptionally meritorious service while assigned to Hawk Company as a team leader and vehicle commander. SPC Brown's hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and selfless service greatly contributed to the successful accomplishment of the Unit's mission. His actions were in keeping with the finest of military traditions and reflect great credit upon himself, Hawk Company, 3D squadron (Wolfpack), 2D Stryker Cavalry Regiment (Dragoons), and the United States Army.
After his time in the Army, Chris came back home to enjoy his life in Walden. He met Cami on April 7, 2022. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, spending time with Cami, her children, and his friends.
Chris is preceded in death by his brother, Michael, and his father, David. He is survived by his mother, Carol Brown of Craig, Colorado; his fiancée, Cami Cordray and her children, Colby Roberts and Kayden Cordray; his Aunt Eileen (Jay) Kepple of Quartzsite, Arizona; Uncle Doug Hutton (Debbie) of Nashville, Tennessee; Aunt Linda Hutton of Buffalo, New York; Uncle Steve (Julie) Brown of Columbus, Ohio; Aunt Donna (John) Strach of Knoxville, Tennessee; Aunt Rabakah Snyder of Austin, Texas; and various cousins, nephews, and nieces.

His services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, with a formal viewing at 11:30am and a funeral service to begin at 12pm at the North Park Community Church in Walden. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Jackson County Cemetery.
Immediately following the graveside service, a light lunch and refreshments will be held at the Wattenberg Center.
