Christopher Jonathan Jutting, 29, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 31. A Memorial Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Another service will be held in Ames, Iowa at the Northminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. Chris was born on April 7, 1981 in Ames, Iowa to Jeffrey Jutting and Denise Tegner Jutting. He was an Eagle Scout from Troup 140. He graduated from Ames High School in 1999 and was a 2003 graduate of Iowa State University with degrees in Environmental Science and Geology. He married Lauren Jones on October 12, 2008. Chris was employed by AECOM of Fort Collins as a Project Geologist. He loved to barbeque, fish in Canada, camp, bike, play disc golf, take pictures, and was a home-brew hobbyist. He is survived by his wife, Lauren of Fort Collins; his mother, Denise Jutting of Fort Collins; his father, Jeffrey Jutting of Ames; his sister, Kellie Schall and her husband, Brian of Des Moines; his grandmother, Arlene Jutting of Ames; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dalton and Kelley Jones of Eaton, CO; Kyle Jones, brother-in-law of Fort Collins, and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ike Jutting; and his grandparents, Melvin and Roberta Tegner. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Animal House Pet Rescue, 1104 W.
