Christine Victoria Kellogg was born January 9, 1927 in Lansdowne, MD. Her parents were Ben and Eva Andrysiak Doneski. She passed from this life on December 17, 2010. Christine married Doug Kellogg, the young man across the street, on May 24, 1952 in Ellicott City, MD. The Kellogg's lived in the Baltimore, MD area until 1957. At that time, Christine and her family settled in Sheridan, CO. She lived at the same address in Sheridan for 53 years until the time of her death. Christine was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She worked part time in the house wares department for May D&F department stores, a predecessor of Foley's and Macy's. At Christmas time, several gifts were typically presented in "the dreaded Foley's box". Christine had a wonderful sense of humor and a love of life. She passed these traits on to her children. She loved to visit the casinos in Blackhawk, play Bingo, watch the Denver Broncos, grow vegetables in her garden and cook some of her signature dishes for family gatherings. When her children were young and living at home, Christine loved to explore various parts of Colorado on family outings. Christine and her husband belonged to a travel club and enjoyed many trips to various parts of the world. Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James Douglas Kellogg. She is survived by her son, James Kellogg and wife, Kathy of Loveland, CO; son, Dwight Kellogg of Arvada, CO; daughter, Elaine Bunny Kyle and husband, Dan of Highlands Ranch, CO; son, David Kellogg and wife, Carrie of Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren and a great granddaughter. A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Name Catholic Church, Sheridan, CO on January 7, 2011 at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow at the church. Her remains will be placed at Fort Logan National Cemetery with the remains of her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, P.O.
