Listen to Obituary
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall set you free" John 8:32

On December 26, 2017 Christine "Tina" Elaine Dunn passed from this life into the loving arms of God. Our sweet and sassy and short wife, mama, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend is no longer suffering. Although we miss her smile dearly, we are so grateful she is now pain free and spending time with those who have gone before her. The size of our mama's heart was as big as anything-she would help anyone who needed it and she didn't discriminate in the species she helped! She was known for taking people, animals, and plants in at will. Anyone who knew our mama knew of her musical talent, which blossomed from the love of music (a gift from her father).

Christine Elaine Tolos was born November 26, 1943 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver, CO. She was the first child for Chris and Kathy Tolos followed by a brother, Michael and a sister, Tinka. She graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1962 and went onto graduate from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in Education and a minor in library science. She began her teaching career at Eyestone Elementary in Wellington, CO. as a kindergarten teacher and continued her career as a 1st grade teacher at Harris/Laurel Elementary. She was also a para at Lopez elementary.

She met her husband Jerald Larson Dunn while attending Fort Collins High School. They were married in Golden, CO on October 1, 1965. They had three children; Thad, Tara, and Tricia. While Jerry pursued his financial advising career, Tina had the opportunity to stay home with their children. There was nothing that brought her more joy than being a mama and then a grandma. Even towards the end of her life she made it clear that she wanted to leave a legacy of faith to her grandchildren.

Some of the activities she enjoyed were Fort Collins Children Theatre, the GS chapter of P.E.O., P.E.A., singing with a variety of community choral groups, and teaching Sunday School at First Presbyterian Church for many years. Her greatest joy was being with her family.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Adam Mack of PVH, Maria McLain Cox PVH Chaplin, caregivers from Bright Star Home Care, Dr. Jennifer Hendrick, Dr. Robert Juhala, Dr. Chris Cribari, Dr. James McCarthy, Dr. John Thompson, Pathways Hospice, and Poudre Valley Hospital Palliative Care Team.

Tina is survived by her husband Jerry, her son, Thad (Dakota) Dunn and daughters, Tara Schwindt, and Tricia (Steve) Fadness, eight grandchildren: Jason, Shannon, and Dillon Dunn, Samantha and Tyler Schwindt, and Mikaela, Cade, and Corbin Fadness. Sister, Tinka (Clyde) Greenwood. Brother-in-law Ken (Heather) Dunn. Nieces Christine (John) Ginnity and Amanda (Andrew) Bussone. Nephews William (Bernadette) Greenwood and William (Kelsi) Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
