Cheryl Mills

Cheryl Mills, 51, of Fort Collins, went with the Lord on June 20, 2006. Our mom graduated from Poudre High School in 1972, and received her associates degree in Nursing from Front Range Community College. She was an admired and successful registered nurse employed by Mosiac and Poudre Valley Hospital. Our mom left a legacy and touched the lives of many friends and family that they will carry for the rest of their lives. She is survived by daughter, Carrie Troy Makloski; son, Tyler Heather Wagner; grandsons, Tyler David, Bayley and Riley Makloski; sister, Susie and Richard Miller; brothers, Fred and Linda Soderberg, Randy and Robin Soderberg; stepfather, Charles and Ann Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mom Mary Thomas Hersh, father Aurther Soderberg, and brother Steve Thomas. As a single parent our mom raised us with strong values, respect, dignity, hope, and a strong love of family. We would like to express our eternal love for our mom. We will miss her wonderful sense of humor, compassion for others, bravery and strength. Her words of advice and guidance throughout our lives have molded us into the people we are today. A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Fort Collins Hilton, 425 W. Prospect Road.
