Cheris (Carlyn) St John, died peacefully at a long-term care facility in Windsor, Colorado on March 5, 2025, at the age of 94. She was able to live in her own home in Fort Collins, Colorado up until a week before going to long term care facility.

Cheris is survived by her two sons Mark St John (Rhoda) and Kent St John; nephews Michael Dillie (Jan) and Michael Carrick (Stephanie) and niece Patricia Nicholson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 67 years.

Cheris was born on October 28, 1930, in Gettysburg, South Dakota to Carl Bohnhoff and Lillian Bohnhoff (Stoner). She married Lem Gilbert (John) St John, Jr. in 1953 in
Gettysburg, South Dakota where they lived for many years. There she worked as a nurse for a family doctor. After moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, Cheris began working at Poudre Valley Hospital as a Medical Technologist before working many years as a Histologist for Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Cheris enjoyed spending time with her family and tending her flowers and plants. She had a lifetime love of dolls and doll collecting and was an officer for the China Doll Club of Fort Collins. She was very talented crafting homemade quilts, doll clothes, teddy bears and other hand sewn items. She was a 75-year member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
