In Loving Memory of Cherie Ann Manke


Cherie Ann Manke was born June 23, 1945 and passed away on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, laughter, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Cherie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shane; granddaughter, Sara; and grandson, Jesse.

She leaves behind her four children along with their spouses, Jerry and Amy, Renee and Willie, Robin and Mike, and Tara; six grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Korey, Brittany, Krystal (Luke), and Jordan; and eight great-grandchildren, Zayvion, baby Ryan, Dalley, Kaci, Mariah, Sage, Kendra, and Lyla.

Cherie was truly one of a kind. She was one of the strongest women you could ever meet, yet she also had a kind and gentle heart. She loved with her whole heart and cared deeply for the people around her. In her younger days, she was known for being a little spicy and always had a way of keeping life interesting. She was fun, full of personality, and never afraid to be herself.

Cherie found joy in the simple things in life, especially camping, fishing, gardening, and flowers. She loved being outdoors and surrounded by the beauty of nature. She also had a special love for Christmas and the warmth, traditions, and memories that came with the holiday.

Cherie loved to cook and bake. She was known for her macaroni salad that everyone loved and would often request. One of the sweetest memories will always be Tara cooking while Cherie sat on the stairs nearby, keeping her company. It was such a simple moment, but it captured Cherie perfectly, she didn’t always need to be doing anything special; sometimes just being together was enough.

Music was another special part of Cherie’s life. She loved her gospel music and listened to it loud and proud, filling the house with songs of faith and praise. She also loved Merle Haggard and always wanted to share his music with others.

Cherie had a love for collecting and holding onto the little things that meant something to her. She treasured her rock collection and loved having pictures of the people she loved. These things reflected her sentimental heart and her desire to keep the people and memories she cherished close to her.

Above all, Cherie loved Jesus and held a strong and unwavering faith. Her relationship with the Lord was an important part of her life and gave her strength, comfort, and hope. Her faith was reflected in the way she loved others, with compassion, kindness, gentleness, and a generous heart.

Most of all, Cherie loved her family fiercely and completely. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were among her greatest joys. She loved them without conditions and gave of herself wholeheartedly. The love she poured into her family will continue to live on through every generation.

Cherie’s greatest legacy is the family she loved and the memories she created with them. Her strength, faith, kindness, gentle spirit, laughter, sense of humor, and one-of-a-kind personality will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved her.

We will carry her memory with us in all the things that made her who she was, the flowers she loved, the Christmas memories she treasured, the gospel music she played, the stories she could tell over and over, the meals she lovingly prepared, the rocks she collected, and the photographs of the people who held a special place in her heart. We will remember her laughter, her strength, her spirited personality, and the gentle kindness she showed to those she loved. Most of all, we will remember the way Cherie loved, with her whole heart, completely and unconditionally.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that Cherie is now at peace and in the loving arms of Jesus. Her earthly journey is complete, but the love she gave and the memories she created will never fade.

Rest peacefully, Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. We love you with our whole hearts, just as you loved us. Until we meet again.
