Charlotte L. Kanode

Charlotte L. Kanode, born in Winfield, Kansas on 31 May 1920, passed into the Lord's care on 23 July 2013 having lived a full and exciting life of 93 years. She was a brilliant, athletic woman who did not succumb to her debilitating Retinitis Pigmentosa but instead blazed new trails in the frontiers of women's liberation, child rearing, community service, and athletic prowess. She married her lifelong soul mate, a died in the wool cowboy named Bill, in Dodge City, Kansas and together they raised 2 well rounded kids, Kirk and Johanna Kanode Glaze in the GREAT State of Colorado. The down to earth witty matron is survived by 5 grand children, Greg Glaze, Dustin Kanode, Chris Glaze, Karla Kanode, and Kyle Kanode along with 2 great-grand children, Kingston and Hudson Kanode. All of the other wonderful family, friends, and acquaintances she had during her stay here are too numerous to mention but we know they are in her thoughts and prayers. Suffice it to say, there aren't enough words, time or space to express her successes or contributions but truly how much better off the world is for her having been here. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Mountain View Cemetery in Nunn, Colorado.
