Charles Wilkins, 79, of Fort Collins, died June 20, 2012. Charles was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Bertha and Charles Ray Wilkins on April 20, 1933. Raised as a widow's son from the age of 12, after his father died in a railroad accident. He became a pharmacist, finishing his Doctor of Pharmacy in three years. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany where he met his wife of 55 years, Silvia Wilkins. Charles was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a charter member of Blessed John 23rd University Center and a member of Fort Collins Elks Club. He served as chief pharmacist and board advisor for the Lincoln Community Hospital as well as a consulting pharmacist at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home. He is survived by his loving wife, Silvia, his three children, Berni, Barbara and John; grandson, Jacob and his two sisters, Ann Wilkins and Joyce Armstrong. A Rosary Service will be held at Blessed John 23rd University Center on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and also St. Joseph Catholic Church on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church on Monday at 10:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor, Colorado at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charles Wilkins Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
