Charles R. Nauta

Charles R. Nauta, 78, of Fort Collins, died February 24, 2013 at his home. Mr. Nauta was born November 29, 1934 in Raton, New Mexico to Bill and Florence Nauta. Charles married Connie Lou Martz on January 24, 1954 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr. Nauta moved to Colorado in 1935; living in Livermore, Waverly and Fort Collins. He owned and operated Nauta Gravel Pit. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and auctions. Survivors include his wife, Connie; sons, Mike Cricket Nauta of Lillian, Alabama; Rick Nauta of Lillian, Alabama; daughter, Lorie GalenFowler of Burlenson, Texas; sister, Helen Davis of Fort Collins; and five grandchildren, Brady Fowler, Mitzi Harrison, Michael Nauta, Kristin Trostel, Hilary Keomenivong and seven great great-grandchildren. Preceding Charles in death are his daughter, Tammy Lynn Nauta, and infant brother, Ernest Nauta. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
