Charles O. "Chuck", age 86, passed away in his sleep on June 8, 2014 at rural Red Feather Lakes, CO. Charles was born on July 9, 1927 to Clifton W. McMican and Ruth May McMican in Lola, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Willis McMican; two sisters, Mary Lou McMican and Kathryn "Jean" Stumpf. He is survived by nieces, Dawn M Bellowshusband, Charles, children and grandchildren of Panama City, FL and Jennie E Gosche of Kinsington, MD; nephew, Donald M Stumpf of Panama City, FL; brother-in-law, Jim Stumpf of Panama City, FL; significant other and loyal companion, June Krakel of Red Feather Lakes, CO, her children and grandchildren. He graduated from Rosiclare, IL High School, served in WWII and the Korean War in the US Navy Medical Corps as a Physician's Assistant. He was a registered pharmacist and worked in several Front Range pharmacies until retirement. Chuck maintained membership in the local American Legion Post 4 and AMVETS Post 2298, Panama City, FL. He enjoyed fly fishing in the local area and was a dedicated caregiver. A Visitation will be held in Red Feather Lakes Property Owners Association, 58 Firehouse Lane, Red Feather Lakes from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
