Charles Wayne Holtcamp, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed from this life on March 16, 2025 at the age of 94.
He was born on February 18, 1931 to Charlie and Mary Holtcamp of Buckeye, Colorado. He attended Buckeye school from the first through the eighth grade, after which he spent his high school years at Waverly school, graduating in 1948. It was there that he met the love of his life, Shirley Meyer of Waverly. They were married on August 6, 1950 and took over the Holtcamp family farm.
In 1985 they relocated to Clovis. Charles began hauling freight, as an independent long-haul trucker, for Landstar/Inway in the early 1980s. He continued this line of work until retirement in January 2014 at the age of 82.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley, one brother, Otis, and two sisters, Clara Graham and Dorothy Bowen. He is survived by a son, Stephen of Platteville, Colorado and a daughter, Cheryl Walker (Douglas) of Clovis, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Ft. Collins on Thursday, March 27 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
