Charles "Charlie" C. Garcia died on June 4, 2006, after an extended illness. He was born on Nov. 4, 1920, in Ingleside to Alejandro and Jovita Garcia. After graduating from Fort Collins High School, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in the 1950s and worked as an accountant with the Los Angeles School Board for 16 years. He then pursued a real estate career until he retired and moved back to Fort Collins in 1990. Surviving are his sisters, Luisa Padilla, Sister Mary Garcia and Delphine Garcia. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Antonia and Pearl; and brothers, Mike and Larry. He enjoyed dancing weekly, playing tennis, fishing and gardening. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment with military honors by the Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard at Grandview Cemetery.
