Chad Kelly Whyard, 35, of Johnstown, Colorado, passed away at St. Luke's-Presbyterian Medical Center on May 25, 2012, after a brave and heroic, eight year battle with leukemia and stemming complications of pneumonia. Chad was born October 26, 1976 to William and Janice Whyard of Sheridan, Wyoming, but grew up in the Flathead Valley and attended Whitefish High School. After high school, Chad attended Montana State University. He then moved to Colorado, and while a student at Colorado State University, he met the love of his life, Theresa. They were married on January 27, 2001 at the Estes Park YMCA Chapel. Chad is survived by his wife, Theresa, son, Chad Junior, daughter, Sadie, mother and father, Janice and William Whyard, sister and brother in-law, Michelle and Erik Flink, of Kalispell, Montana , and also his mother and father in-law, Bill and Jenny Trippel, and sister in-law, Sandy Trippel, of Fort Collins, Colorado. Chad was an avid outdoorsman who loved to ski, fish, golf, and most of all, spend time with his family. A service will be held in Fort Collins, at Timberline Church in the South Auditorium, Thursday, May 31st, at 1pm. Timberline Church is located at 2908 South Timberline Rd., Fort Collins, CO 80525.
