Cesar Alfonso Garza, Jr., 57, of Fort Collins, died Nov. 27, 2005 at a local nursing home. Cesar was born Jan. 16, 1948, in LaMesa, Texas, to Cesar A. Garza Sr. and Ofelia Castaneda Garza. He moved to Fort Collins 42 years ago from Texas. He was a self-employed cement company. He was a member at Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed going to Black Hawk, bingo, and fishing. Mr. Garza is survived by sons, Cesar Alfonso Garza III of Loveland and Christopher Garza of Fort Collins; daughters, Evina Garcia, Ofelia Martinez, Sedeane Garza and Lucinda Garza, all of Fort Collins; a brother, Raul C. Garza of Fort Collins; three sisters, Nelda Madrid of Fort Collins, Esmeralda Dominguez of Fort Collins, and Sylvia Cantu of Mercedes, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and a godson, Marcos DelToro. Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Augustine and Oscar Garza; and one grandchild, John Edward Cardenas. A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Father Douglas Hunt, C.R., will officiate the service.
