Caterina "Cat" Zimmerman, 86, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on December 2, 2020.
Caterina Panarese was born in Brindisi, Italy on September 8, 1934 to Virgilio and Lorinda Panarese. She graduated from high school in 1946. She came to the United States in 1957 to raise a family. She worked in various trades. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, crocheting, pets and her family. She became a US citizen in 1996.
Caterina is survived by her spouse, Eric Zimmerman; her children: Davide Adams, Danilo Adams and Lorinda Adams Garcia; her grandchild: Monique Walling and great grandchild: Lilyana Walling; two sisters in Italy and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father, three brothers and three sisters.
A Vigil with Rosary will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins on Thursday, December 17 at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service with Mass will be held at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community Church in Arvada at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on December 18, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, 6240 Smith Road, Denver CO 80216-4632 and Denver Rescue Mission, PO Box 5022, Denver, CO 80217-5022.
