Carrie Ann Narum, 88, of Fort Collins, died March 8, 2012 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. She was born March 12, 1923 in Marmarth, North Dakota to Albert and Margaret Kimbro. Carrie graduated high school at Marmarth, North Dakota. On October 2, 1942 she married Kenneth Narum in San Antonio, Texas. After the war, Ken and Carrie moved to Amidon, North Dakota where they lived until they moved to Canon City, Colorado in 1973. In 1993 they moved to Fort Collins to be near family. While living in Amidon, she enjoyed writing humorous stories and plays for the county fait and family events. She shared her love of adventure with her family whether it was camping, museums or traveling in the states or abroad. In later years she was a voracious reader and was never seen without a book. She was an expert at spoiling all she loved. Carrie is survived by her children, Mildred Richard, Margaret Rodney, William Sandy, John Diold, Kathy Dean, Mary Steve, James Heidi; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceding Carrie in death are her husband, Kenneth; and sons, Kenneth, Jr. and Thomas Robert. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Viewing will be held at 12:30. A Graveside service will take place at Amidon, North Dakota on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will also be held at Stevenson Funeral Home, 454 Ave. West, Dickinson, North Dakota, Wednesday March 14, 2012 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Amidon, North Dakota.
