Carolyn Joyce Niswender, 83, of Loveland Colorado died quietly in her home on January 18, 2020
Carolyn was born to Lee and Catherine Nelson in Denver Colorado. She lived in Denver for 6 years and moved to Fort Collins Colorado at age 6.
Carolyn graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1954.
Carolyn married Charles A. Niswender on August 28, 1955 in Fort Collins, Colorado they were married for 60 years.
She worked for Colorado State University for 25 years and retired in 1994. She and her husband Chuck moved to Red Feather, Colorado in 1994 and lived there together until Chuck's death in 2014.
She moved to Loveland Colorado in 2017 to live with her daughter.
Surviving family members are: Sisters - Cathy Thompson of Fort Collins, CO ; Leila Linder of Kansas and Renie Shirk of Loveland. Children Greg Niswender ( Wife Annie) of Red Feather, Colorado; Kim Kechter ( Husband Reggie) of Loveland and Troy Niswender ( Wife Kristi) of Durango CO. She has 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Carolyn in death were her parents Lee and Catherine Nelson, infant son Chuckie Lee Niswender, a granddaughter, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Her Memorial Service will be held on January 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Morning Star Community Church, 23628 West County Road 74 E, Red Feather , Colorado.
