Carolyn Jean Ellis Burr

Carolyn Jean Muir Ellis Burr, 80, of Fort Collins, passed away unexpectedly May 16. She was born in Jackson, MN to Keith and Viola Muir. She married Williard Ellis on October 22, 1962. She had 2 children, Tony (Susan), and Kimberley Lyons. She retired from CSU, where she worked in the communications department. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, making gorgeous quilts, making people laugh, and getting together with her many friends. After Williard passed in 2008, she kept busy with her various interests. She married William Burr on September 30, 2018. She recently celebrated her 80th birthday with family and friends. She was thrilled to have those she loved around her. She is survived by her children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Viola, sister Arlene, brothers Mark and Steve, and son-in-law Steven Lyons.

Visit with the family from 1 to 3pm and then stay for a Celebration of Life at 3pm on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins CO 80524. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.
